My Message

The Salvation Army in Bunbury runs a program each Christmas for people who are finding life a little hard going.

In 2016, we were able to provide toys to over 600 children aged between 0-16 years. Imagine that amount - It is a small school worth of children! Most years we have been able to provide each child with a gift, a craft item or book, & a stocking filler. The caregivers of the children are afforded the dignity of  coming in and selecting presents that will suit their children.  This provides hope to families.

In 2016, we provided about 350 food hampers specifically for Christmas time. These food hampers help supplement food for a celebration meal and provide some treats that may not otherwise have been possible. They contain food, that at other times of the year we would not usually provide, like fancy biscuits and softdrink. This contribution can take the pressure off households who are doing it really tough. These food hampers provided food for over 1100 people (including the 600 children). This includes the food hampers to about 60 single people, many of whom have no homes, for whom Christmas can be a lonely celebration.

All of this food and toys comes from generous donations from people like yourselves.

But we need your help.

Did you know that a donation of $60 provides a food hamper for a family at Christmas time?

Every dollar we raise helps make a positive difference for people struggling to get by.

Please give generously by clicking on the donate now button and together we can give hope where it's needed most.
